Fall has definitely burst forth in all its glory in the Durham Region. Everywhere you go the landscape is ablaze with colour. This has to be the time of year when the Durham Region really shines brightest and not just because of the scenery.
You can feel it in the air. The Durham Region thrives in the fall and the community takes full advantage of that. There is no lack of fall festivals. In the last few weeks alone there has been the Newcastle Fall Festival, Pumpkinville and the Apple Festival & Craft Sale in Bowmanville.
It doesn’t matter if it is raining, snowing or just really, really cold you will find that the community shows up. Families, couples, friends and neighbours all enjoy walking around these events and getting re-acquainted. The timing is perfect having just finished the busy summer schedule and not quite ready to take on the winter Holiday schedule yet. Lots of fun, food, music and activities for everyone is the common theme for all of these.
