For the past 34 years the members of the Oshawa Art Association have been displaying their work at their annual art festival. Since 1981, the association has chosen to set up its Fall Art Festival and Sale in the Council Hall of Camp Samac, the beautiful Scout camp in the heart of Oshawa.
The only thing that could possibly compare to the scenery itself is the art work you will see on display. As soon as you enter the log Council Hall, you are warmly greeted. Members of the Oshawa Art Association explain the layout and welcome you to take your time and ask any questions you might have. There is never anyone too far away to help you out, but really, the pieces speak for themselves
Anne Labelle-Johnson and Tony Johnson were there representing their Blue Willow Studio.
Rosemary Jenkins had a wonderful display of her beautiful pottery pieces.
Whimsy and imagination run wild with the work of Ryan Larvin.
Squares of Gail George imagery were breathtaking.
Perfect panels by Sharon E. Steinhaus set a mysterious mood.
Sally Grande from Creative Carrot has a special relationship with carrots and creates some wonderful images of them.
Debbie Dell is truly gifted when it comes to glass.
Abstracts from Patricia Van Oostveen are rich with colour.
This is but a small sampling of the talent you will find in the Durham Region and of the over 80 artists participating in the Fall Art Festival. We encourage you to have a look for yourself next time.
